The Idaho Walk Bike Summit Planning Committee is now accepting workshop proposals for the second biennial Idaho Walk Bike Summit. The 2018 Summit will take place in Boise, Idaho, all day Thursday, May 17, and Friday morning, May 18. Our goal is to provide education and training to a diverse audience through a selection of relevant topics on bicycle and pedestrian design, advocacy, land use, funding options, health and wellness, and more. We wish to increase participants’ effectiveness at creating safe and accessible environments for walking or biking, whether that is at a city, county, regional, or state level.
Idaho Walk Bike Summit attendees represent a spectrum of people from a variety of communities who are engaged in bicycling and walking. While the Summit will be held in Boise, we want as many Idaho communities as possible well represented, no matter their size, to share successes and challenges they face locally. Some examples are: what is a successful advocacy effort in your town; has your town created a self-sufficient structure to design and pay for projects; or what local capacity building tool works for you. We know your presentation will enrich the Summit as you share your knowledge and passion.
Please complete this form no later than 5 p.m. on January 12, 2018. The Summit Planning Committee will notify you no later than February 2, 2018, if your session has been accepted.
