The USBR 10 Ribbon-Cutting ceremony was a cheerful success. On Friday, October 9th, Diane Norton of Idaho Dept. of Commerce, Katie Brodie of the Governor’s Office, Shelby Rognstad, President of Sandpoint City Council, and Don Davis, a former ITD District One Planner, spoke before dozens of bicyclists and enthusiasts at Farmin Park in downtown Sandpoint.
This latest extension of the U.S. Bicycle Route Network, USBR 10 is 66 miles long and connects Washington to Montana along state highways.
After the ceremony, The Pend Oreille Pedalers lead a celebratory ride a few miles along the route and on to Laughing Dog Brewery, where many christening beers were raised. Thanks to all who came out and made it a memorable day!
