Deanna Smith, LCI was a Program Manager for ISG 2009-2022. Her work experience encompasses community development projects ranging from healthy communities, active transportation to WUI wildfire preparedness and preservation of working lands. Her last two years were focused on walking, biking and driving safety education through a contract with Office of Highway Safety. She has worked throughout Idaho from Bonners Ferry to Soda Springs with extensive experience leading public engagement. Projects include comprehensive plan for Dover; placemaking plans for downtown Meridian and Idaho Falls and Boise’s Barber Valley; Walk Bike assessments, network planning and safety education in numerous communities. Deanna understands community through her own experience serving on multiple committees and boards including COMPASS’ Regional & Technical Advisory Committee, Public Participation and Active Transportation Workgroups, and East End Neighborhood Association, The Children’s School and Boise Farmers Market board of directors. She has a B.A. in education and planning from Evergreen State College and holds certificates from the National Charrette Institute for Charrette Facilitation and Portland State University’s Institute for Bicycle and Pedestrian Innovation and is a League Certified Bicycle Instructor with American League of Cyclists.
