The 1st annual IWBA Transportation Policy Conference will convene statewide transportation leaders and interested parties to discuss the critical importance of improving the walkability and bike-ability of Idaho’s communities through new investment, design and construction. Improving our walking and biking infrastructure will make it safer for Idahoans, especially children, to get to the places they need to go such as school, local parks, the library and home. We believe that additional investments in sidewalks, crosswalks, bike-lanes, melds nicely with Governor Little’s initiative to keep Idahoans in the state by making Idaho’s communities more desirable to live and raise families. In addition, the leaders in the transportation community will be invited to talk about the future design, construction, funding and technology of other modes of transportation, such as automobiles, trucks, public transit and autonomous vehicles.
